I still love C programming language. Then, I learned C++ too. It took a lot of investment in time learning OOP. I am groping 'til now.

I love to hate perl as well but was not able to incorporate allowing nudes for Yahoo, Bing, Lycos, and Ask in searches containing "Curtis Neeley"

I agree but it is sometimes very difficult to keep straight.

Python, most flexible language i've used to date, i've got experience in most of them, and javascript/php/c/java are all quite similar, python is a bit refreshing plus very flexible, from desktop to web . Ruby is pretty cool too.

JavaScript isn't server side. It can call server side and display the code, but it itself cannot interact with the server as it is client (browser) based.

Well,
for Systemdevelopment/Poking away at the Posix-API:
C, off course.
Webapps: PHP
Hacking scripts together: PERL, Bash
and for nice desktopapplications I would use Jave, because i don't speak C# or J#.
