Google Apps (Standard) and two different domains: how many Google accounts do I need?
Hello guys!
I hope some of you are using Google Apps and can help me to find an answer to the following question:
I own two different and independent domain names (e.g. domain1.com and domain2.com).
I'd like to use the Google Apps (Standard, free edition) with them to create two different and totally independent mailboxes (e.g. abc@domain1.com and xyz@domain2.com).
But how many Google accounts I need to do this?
Can I manage two (or more) independent and fully functional domains using one Google account?
P.S.
Help section contains descriptions of aliases for multiple domains, which are just pointers or shortcuts, but not a fully functional mailboxes, so this solution isn't something I'm looking for.≡ upRAID – Remote RAID, NAS and SAN recovery. Helping online worldwide; partnership program.

I don't think webhostingtalk is a google support forum. Doesn't google have a help section?

Looks like it's in the right forum to me.
If one can't ask about a technical issue setting up a hosting service in the "Technical & Security Issues" forum, then where would you suggest it resides?
If it's because it's Google, then where do you draw that line?
It becomes a host-specific forum? Which hosts and services are allowed? This is the best signature in the world....Tribute!

To answer the actual question, you will need two accounts.

Thank you, Lightwave.
I needed this answer, cause I looked all over the Google Apps help and found literally nothing about managing multiple domains independently within one Google account.
P.S.
It seems that there is a typo in your signature - unnecessary quotation mark at the end of the link.
Thanks for your support, mugo. This forum seems right for me too, cause many people here asking technical questions regarding different scripts and server software.
Maybe Google Apps isn't so ordinary, but it's still a software used by many people.≡ upRAID – Remote RAID, NAS and SAN recovery. Helping online worldwide; partnership program.

No prob on the support
To clarify..the domain / email you are inquiring about...
Is this referring to the base domain you signed up as a reseller under during the enroll process, or a customers domain within your reseller account you are trying to setup email for? This is the best signature in the world....Tribute!

No, these are both my domains I'm planning to start public projects on.
So I'll need to publish my admin e-mail openly and want to use Google Apps because of their great spam filter.
But these projects are totally different: like one is about the cultivation of cactuses and another is about the rocket science.
So I can hardly use one mailbox for sending e-mails regarding both these projects and want to have a completely independent mailboxes (this is why aliases aren't a solution for me)≡ upRAID – Remote RAID, NAS and SAN recovery. Helping online worldwide; partnership program.
