One thing I've noticed about most companies offering 100% uptime gaurantees is that if you read their policies, they have a window for 24 hours or so of 'scheduled maintenence' or other such work, to actually cover them for whatever happens sooner or later. Make sure you're not just reading the label they give their gaurantee, but the policies, because although it's not always the case, and albeit misleading, the '100%' tends to be arbitrary in a lot of cases.
Totally irrelevent to what I just posted, but that's a pretty neat article. I think I learned some things.
