100TB.com
Just got an email from 10TB.com that they are rebranding to 100TB.com at no extra charge to current customers. I was already happy with my dedicated server at 10TB.com - great customer service & fantastic servers. Nice touch upgrading preexisting customers.

I just got that email too, and I thought it was a joke at first by reading the subject. 100TB of bandwidth is insane. Especially for the prices they charge for a server.

Maybe they're just changing the name, and not giving 100tb of bandwidth?

Not just a name change:
“No other web hosting vendor is
offering this level of bandwidth in dedicated server solutions and we are proud to give
it to our existing clients free of charge. Every server will have an unthrottled 1000Mbit
port and 100TB of unrestricted tier one bandwidth each month.” said Ditlev Bredahl, chief
executive officer, The UK2 Group. “The UK2 Group has a history of pushing the envelope and
setting new industry standards with web hosting”0

I think I used the term "you couldnt get me back as a customer if the server was free" in the past.
With that said, I am seriously considering trying again, its kind of hard not too at this price. Softlayers network rocks.
I have to ask though, can the network cope with the huge increase in traffic?0

I doubt many people would use that much bandwidth or even could get close. Its not easy to push that much bandwidth from 1 server. More a marketing gimmick that appears to be working.

congrats ditlev. Not sure how you do it - but 1200.00 of bandwidth at cost on a 159,00 per month server sure is a great deal. I think I might have to move my customers that are large download sites pulling a gig each to this service to increase my profitability.

So 100TB is now going to be $199 or $299 a month , people so far have seen $1k per gbit at minimum. Even if 100TB available systems must be higher grade.

See their TOS http://www.10tb.com/tos.php
"Hosting large amounts of data not specifically tied ("linked") to your hosting account. Hosting Services, Inc. encourages users looking for file storage/backup solutions to seek other services that specialize in this."
That cuts out a lot of high usage tasks like backup. Why this would matter on a dedicated server I do not know.Eleven2 Web Hosting - World-Wide Hosting, Done Right!0
