It looks like the server does not go down, but CSF blocks your IP address.

Ensure that ports for HTTP/HTTPS (TCP 80,443), SSH (default 22), DNS (UDP 53) and any control panel you use (for example, TCP 2082-2096 for cPanel) are open.
Also, add your IP address to the /etc/csf/csf.allow file before starting CSF.

Is this a VPS? This can easily happen if the correct kernel modules aren't loaded.

You can verify this by executing the below via SSH:

    # perl /etc/csf/csftest.pl

Or via WHM --> CSF --> Test iptables

    Result

    Testing iptables...

    Testing ip_tables/iptable_filter...OK
    Testing ipt_LOG...OK
    Testing ipt_multiport/xt_multiport...OK
    Testing ipt_REJECT...OK
    Testing ipt_state/xt_state...OK

Testing iptable_nat/ipt_DNAT...FAILED [Error: FATAL: Module ip_tables not found.] - Required for csf.redirect feature

RESULT: csf will function on this server but some features will not work due to some missing iptables modules [4]

Okay, so kernel modules are missing.

I suggest having your provider look at this: http://www.webhostrepo.com/blog/enab...ules-for-a-vps

They should be able to take care of this in no time.
