Infiniband or Ethernet with SAN
Have are the main disadvantages and advantages of using Infiniband for the SAN setup.
Also, what would you personally use and what is your personal ideas on this?

IB obviously wins from a latency perspective (as long as you're not doing IPoIB) and a total throughput perspective - but it loses out in terms of drivers and support, it's just not as well supported or understood as Ethernet is.

With all the enhancements to ethernet and a pretty wide understanding i would say my choice is either 10GB iscsi or FCoE
i dont think for most application there would be any difference between 10GB iscsi and infiniband... im not an IB expert by anymeans though.
but for most applications that i encounter multipathing and multiple 1gb nics are normally enough... multiple 10Gb links would just be gravy
