That's the point I was trying to make: it's entirely subjective. "Cloud" anything is, at this point, nothing more than buzzword salad straight from the marketing department. Since there's no standard definition of "cloud hosting", Host A could offer a full HA distributed environment with on-the-fly scalable resources while Host B could offer OpenVZ based VPSes and Host C could offer conventional shared hosting, all charging $250 / month.
