I don't know what's happening as they host their support site at the same location.

Yeah, this really sucks. I just moved all of our data from one crappy provider to them. Sorry to see more of the same. Guess I should have chosen someone else.

I've used them for a while for backups/dns but downtime like this seems rare. They are very cheap so I suppose this will happen sometimes.

We are aware of the issue - all dedicated servers are up, and only the VPS rack is down (the rack housing our site's server as well).
We do apologize for the inconvenience. We are working very quickly to get this resolved.

Yeah, and the outage is related, because my dedicated server went down the same time your site went down. How do I know this? Because I tried to use the remote reboot port (which I paid extra for, and now can't even access, which means I should probably get some sort of account credit) to reboot my server, and your site was also down.
I am sending a PM now. This is very disappointing and appalling. I am sadly learning that high quality is impossible to get from a dedicated server provider. vpsbyte came highly recommended, but I really don't know why after today.

To update this thread with more accurate information, it appears that my problem was possibly not due to the other troubles at VPSByte. Apparently, they sent out an email asking everyone to change their nameservers. I never received the email, however. I think it is a bit tacky to send an email and not call (especially with the amount of money one pays for a dedicated server), but maybe that's just me.
Anyway, I have now changed the IPs for my nameservers, so now I'll just wait and see what happens.
Again, the issue with my server apparently is different from the one that VPS users were experiencing.

Are VPS servers still down? I only use mine for a DNS server but it would be good to have it back online after 24 hours.

If you had not yet changed your IPs from our XO network to our Cogent network as instructed by the email sent out 10 days ago, then the XO network has now been disabled.
And your support site is down, get it back online so we can contact you!

This is definitely one of the worst hosting situations I've ever been in. My new IPs still aren't resolving, causing me to question whether they are working right. The VPS Byte site still won't come up, so I can't open a ticket.
What a mess. Really has ruined my view of the company.

My VPS is working at the moment, i don't know if its the same for others
for the IPs it was written in the Vpsbyte news and you could have seen it in your control panel (4IPs instead of 2)

Our site is currently being ddosed - the VPS issue was completely unrelated. It was quite inconvenient however several separate issues are occuring here.
VPS Clients on 67.* IPS--
We gave everyone new IPs and sent the news item 10 days ago. If you are registered in our system, then you would have gotten the email.
Dedicated Server Clients on 67.* IPS--
Same issue as above, all 67.* ips are now offline. We sent a message to everyone 10 days in advanced. The majority of our clients replied. Only a couple of them are experiencing issues here because they did not reply to our email.
All dedicated server clients that did not add their new IPs, and are offline at this time, please PM me or email info[at]vpsbyte.com with your server login details. We will reset the ips for you manually. VPS clients can get their new IPs via the VPS Manager - these ips were assigned over a week ago.
Please know that a small portion of our network was effected - the 67.* ips only. Our 38.* subnets have not been effected at all.

The issue with our site has been fixed, we are in place of transferring our site to a new server.
We have transfered everyone's server that has sent the appropriate details. Dedicated Server clients: if you are still down, please email info[at]vpsbyte.com with your full name and root password. We will then change the IPs for you manually.
I would like to stress that if everyone had replied to the appropriate email 10 days ago, this issue never would have occurred for these certain clients.

I'd like to add that VPSByte is partially right- they did send an email and I was negligent for not following up in full, however, I did send an email in response the same day that was not answered, so I assumed there was no further changes I needed to make, especially since operations were normal for me. After switching the IPs over and making DNS changes, I am fully back up. Still, I just passed on a LONG outage to my clients.

I completely understand your frustration. We have several clients tupset and are working very hard to make everything right for everyone. Many of our clients are back up and online - for anyone who has not contacted us please do with your full name and root password so we can assign the new IPs to your server.

If you don't mind me asking, why'd you dump the XO?
