    Please give us your opinions

Could I have your opinion on my new site?

    http://choosa.co.uk

The problem at present is although I get around 200-300 unique visitors a day on average, not many businesses are signing up.
Is the website user friendly?...not many visitors get past the first page!

To me it just seems like initially your site has a lack of information. When I first looked at it I had no idea what I was looking at. I hade to load the site a second time, then I saw the banner on the top saying Business Directory, but it was easy to miss.

Just my thoughts, I'm no web guru though.

    Thanks Astra,

I will take your comments onboard, and take another look at the design/information.

I like the design because it really gets down the point. I do think however it's a little too basic, and maybe some more text, or not spacing everything out so much could help(It could just be my resolution though). And you should add some CSS formating, expecially for the links since the default blue/purple (on most browsers) doesn't really go with the other colors. I'd suggest making links that dark blue color that the navigation on the bottom is. Other then that, I like it.

    Thanks for the comments Foo
I agree the purple has to go, I'll put that on my "to do" list

Lack of information I agree. I took me about 30 seconds to realize what the site is about and that is bad time. Once the page loads the person should know in under 5 seconds what the site is about.

    Thanks Chris,

I suppose thats the difficult part of having a website,,
The owner knows what it's all about and expects everyone else to.
You made a very good point, and I tend to agree with you and astraX.
I will have a rethink on the first page...
