I use IE9 and Chrome, not necessarily in that order.

In my opinion, Chrome is the fastest. I have used IE7, IE8, Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Without a doubt, Google Chrome is the fastest.

I used to love Firefox but chrome seems to start up at least twice as fast, if you have an older computer then you should notice the difference even more.
Chrome is simple and quick.0

Google Chrome, I have tried IE and Firefox however I found Chrome to be faster and less laggy.
One thing I do dislike about Chrome (which you found in Firefox) was the Refresh all, to all tabs, this may not seem all that useful to you but if you are constantly refreshing many tabs it is
I also like the AdBlock for Chrome too, the ones for Firefox were very messy to work with and you had to somewhat set them yourself, AdBlock's default settings work flawlessly but these arent really features of Chrome.0

Chrome is better and easy to use. At the beginning i faced some problem due to be a hardcore user of FF. Now chrome is winning my heart and soul. Love it.

Between FF and latest version of IE 9. Both are rather nice.

I think chrome is the fastest. It is what my friends and I use. It never failed our expectations so far. You've got to try it. In case chrome goes crazy, you could install firefox to as your backup browser.

I use chrome too and I'm pleased, there are many plug-ins and options, and gadgets to manage the browser and to do your job better.

I haven't used the stable version of Firefox in 1 1/2 years, but I saw Firefox (14?) / Aurora 16.0a2 is the fastest for page rendering + it has better flash performance than Chrome, Safari or IE.
The downside is that it uses up more CPU / RAM than the others (I don't know about Safari) but if you have a fast enough PC (more than a netbook) you should be fine.
People say FF is slow but it's because it has essentially 3 processes that go with it since v13 (or something or other): Firefox, the Plugin Container and Flash Player. The Plugin Container stops a plugin from crashing the whole browser but disabling it (theoretically) should significantly reduce resource usage.0

In my experience, Chrome is the fastest. That said, I haven't tried Opera in awhile, and it had always been very fast for me. IE9 on Windows 7 is actually pretty fast too. I think Firefox is the slowest modern browser, but it's also probably the most functional in terms of available plug-ins, scripts and add-ons.
The Adobe Flash plugin can really slow down browsing, so if you need the fastest experience, you might want to disable it completely.█Daniel Brown - Puget Systems - High quality PCs

Try firefox but change the config to allow 64 connections. Do the same for IE. You might notice a marginal performance increase.

I think IE9 has improved in a lot of ways over previous versions, but I still like Firefox because it has a lot of neat plugins for the types of activities I do on the internet.

Using firefox atm. relatively stable. I can have 150+ tabs on. Although, once every 3-6 months. Firefox crashes in a way where I lose all my tabs.
ALTHOUGH, i dislike the recent firefox a lot.
Opera is ok, but it seems to use a lot of system resources. It takes up 200k resources for having only 3-4 tabs.
Chrome, is good. However, I don't like how things are hidden and you gotta look for the functions.0
