Does anybody get the refund from ClubUptime closed company?

    Recently,
ClubUptime have opened all the VPS to let us backup out data.

But is there anyone who have got the refund from them?

they were saying anywhere from 45 to 60 days before refunds get sent.

Be happy you got your data I guess The hostrail clients didn't get that chance.

Yeah I think a little patience is needed here. They have thus far stuck to their word and let people get access to their files.

The Brohoster guys got access to the files....not Matt.

And refunds as I understand it will go through him.

And given some of the recent revelations I really wouldn't put much faith in what he says.

Matt didn't help with the 72 hour work window though, the brohoster staffers were with softlayer.

Rumor has it that Matt's actually on some form of vacation.

Lying? They owe softlayer $65,000 so things weren't doing that well.

The way i see it everyone should praise themself very lucky they got their backups back, but only because of the good work of some people behind Brohoster and Clubuptime and ofcourse Softlayer. Matt, the CEO, promised to do everything but did nothing.

I guess the money for the paybacks must be comming from him. He promised to pay everyone back, but i doubt it. Matt didn't always tell the truth and has made a lot of promises he never kept. SO if the money must come from him the chance you will see your money back from him is less than zero. If someone else is going to pay the money back (but who and where is he gonna get the money, realising that also Softlayer has some open bills) you maybe have a tiny little chance.

Filing a complaint at Paypal could help but i also think they are not gonna pay you back. Only people who will get their money back are the ones who payed by creditcard and filed a chargeback at their bank.

Matt always told everything is going great and things were never ever his fault

I just wanted to update this thread and note that my PayPal dispute was successful and I received my money back for the recent month I paid just before they went under. Good luck to those that are deciding to wait '4-6 weeks' for a refund..

Glad to hear that you won your paypal dispute. The others should not wait nether. I highly doubt anyone will get a refund from Matt with out fighting for it.

What do you want to get with such an action ? If you want your money back you better file a paypal complaint or creditcard chargeback trough your bank.

Yeah, I was about to mention the same thing. Wonder why he has not responded here. Sounds like he took advantage of a lot of people...

    Nope.

I'm still thinking the amount built up over time and then they were dropped the ball after the brohoster drama went up. Matt stands by his claims that CU itself was financially sound once they ditched the OVZ market. He could very well be telling the truth, but it's also possible that the brand already had a mountain of past dues that he was chopping away at.
