Indeed it is. It replaced Firefox on my netbook.
    It's very responsive.

The only thing that I dislike is that it doesn't have smooth scrolling without an extension.

Chrome is nice, but I always seem to find myself going back to Firefox and IE just out of habit.

Same here. I tend to prefer FireFox the most of all of them, too...

But firefox doesn't support the h.264 video encoding youtube uses for HTML5.

Because flash can't run 1080p video on my mac without lagging it horribly, i decide to try the YouTube html5 deal....

lo and behold to me, Firefox doesn't support h.264 in flash because of licensing fees. Thats my understanding of it at least.

I find myself mostly using Firefox because of all the plugins available that I use frequently. If Chrome could compete with that, I'd probably switch.

I think firefox is faster but chrome uses less resources so I have started using chrome for music and multitasking or flash and firefox for forums.

I was going to post a new thread, but this one will do.

Has anyone seen the new IE8 commercials that Microsoft is doing on TV?

    /facepalm

It'd be one thing if they actually supported the standards Microsoft has never been with the program, been a thorn in our sides forever and just when the browser market share starts shifting the right way they start dumping millions into it.

Dump those millions into making your browser not suck and render correctly, damnit.

I've been using it as my main browser since December.

Chrome's got all the necessary plugins, really. The only one I can't live without is x-marks, and they've got a chrome version, so I'm set.

Of course, I'm not too happy with the lack of master password option, which makes it pretty insecure.

I just downloaded Google Chrome, fairly nice

Now I just need ... Domain Name Details and FireBug (or their Chrome equivalents) ... Any suggestions?

I wonder if I can turn off some of the default shortcuts, I can no longer use CTRL+B for bold here on WHT while using Chrome because that's the shortcut to show/hide the bookmark tool bar Beyond that, it's nice

Google chrome is better and light compared to firefox. But, Firefox has some of the best addons like tabmixplus, session manager, colorful tabs etc.

I think google should come up with similar addons for Chrome.

Google chrome is the king of browsers. Continually improving everyday. Combine it with Lastpass + google checker plus + goo.gl + toomanytabs extensions and you've got a winner !

I've just got to find an extension that will show the IP address of the site you're currently visiting with the ability to update it (like Domain Details FireFox Extension) and then something that can show the page components and load times like FireBug and I'll be golden

I like Firefox because you can listen to your music. On chrome it only works for 20 secs and just fails..

I guess I'm alone in that I despise Chrome. On installation it took over all associations for html, htm and so on, and wouldn't give it back. To this day, even after manually fixing them all, I still occasionally get a page that will open Chrome for no good reason. Totally borked things.

Doesn't work with Roboform (except if I store passwords on their server (umm, no), and generally is crap. Just me, apparently.

That one looks like it might do you, for firebug.

I love chrome, but the thing I miss most about firefox is the "open in sidebar".

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find similar add-ons for nearly all Firefox add-ons.
