Find reliable host for mail server...
i would like to start a free mail-service online,
i 'm goin to have a page where a user can register for a mail account and auto create it...
i'm interested for more than 10000 pop3 mailboxes and a small php page that will be for registration, or web-based email reading... (with phpmail or something...)
i need a cheap and reliable host for this...
anyone knows about???

What you need to do is get a dedicated server and get software for the registration/creation of email account. Check www.hotscripts.com for email software that does what you're looking to do.

What you really need is a dedicated server with qmail & qmailhandle etc... So you will be able to accept new user additions & they will automatically be added etc.
I consulted Digitlainet about this for a coperate design client (adp concept & design) & they helped me get adp a solution etc.
Good luck.

digitalinet doesn't allow this...
they say they check the pop3 state and don't allow u something like freemail server...
also, they don't allow auto signup for my users...
i've to do all of it manually...

Well taking you will probably want 40GB of disk space (rough guess) + 200Gb+ bandwidth when fully loaded you will stuggle to find a shared hosting envronment that will support that. I would at least set a budget of $40/mo for starting but if you can afford it go for a dedicated server

i don't have such needs...
1-2GB disk space, and 30-40GB transfer/month are quite fine!!!
i just want to be able to have auto-signup for mail accounts, and unlimited pop3's, whose specifications i'll manage... (account size, attched file size... etc...)

Auto-signups are dangerous, to state the obvious. Spammers are likely to jump onto the boat and spam like hell, and you'll lose your account/server with your host faster than you paid for it
