    Unhappy Emails are dropping to Junk Mail Box

    Hello all. We have many Reseller Hosting accounts. Our main Domain have a Dedicated IP address. Resold accounts use IPs of the servers. So IPs are different. IPs are clean on all spamlist, too. But our and our customers emails are dropping to Junk Mail Box on Hotmail(or some other service providers). What can be the reason of this issue and how can we fix it?

    The common free email providers use an internal spam-list which isn't accessible by the public. Typically the IP either had a bad history, or does not have enough reputation. For Hotmail in particular, you can consider signing up as a JMRP?

    I think JMRP mean Junk Mail Reporting Partner, is not he? If so, how it fix our problem if I signup JMRP Program of Hotmail? Or is the problem resolved itself as time goes by?

    Emails going to spam is usually related to your Dedicated Ip address. Even though your ip isn't blacklisted, There is just a chance that your IP doesn't have enough reputation built yet.

    Is the IP setup with a reverse DNS entry pointing back to the mail server hostname? Have you also setup appropriate SPF records and DomainKeys (DKIM)?

    While these things won't necessarily prevent e-mail from going into spam, they are important properties that various mail providers look at to classify incoming e-mail.

    Use a service like Mandrill. Never really had an issue since sending emails via them.

    Almost every time a legit email ends on the spam box is because the use of some 'forbidden words' or using capitals, abuse of exclamations and such.

    First you need to do is to examine it. Avoid like plague to build HTML emails with Microsoft products, the HTML output is simply horrendous and many times antispam is trigged by faulty HTML syntax.

    Mailchimp and Mandrill have quite valuable resources on how to build messages that avoid spam folders.
