Logging in WHM or WHMCS with iPhone 4?

    Hello,

I was wondering if its possible and safe to log in securely to whmcs or whm from an iPhone 4 using att? I'm considering getting one and wanted to know if this is secure, viable and if anyone is currently doing it.

Sure. It won't be any less secure than doing it via your PC. Many business owners do this on a daily basis, specially in hosting.

iPhone App for WHMCS looks great, if they have built this app for WHMCS , I hope they may have taken care of security.

I wouldn't get an iPhone 4. Wait for the next release.

Honestly both the cPanel and WHMCS apps suck! I bought them and never used them again. @Zach there is nothing wrong with the iPhone 4 it's quite elegant and I did not notice too much change from 3GS to 4.0 of the iPhone just a few new extras but meh

iPhone 5 won't be out to the later part of this year or next!

Personally, I use a HTC Evo / HTC Desire HD.
The browser easily handles the WHMCS admin interface, so I feel no need to get the app.

But I can't comment on it. Maybe they will increase the features of it. But given the feedback, for $30.00 it doesn't really seem worth it.

Apple always realease a new product within 6 months of each other. If you buy one, chances are better one will be around within a year. You'll never have the best device unless you want spend £2000+ a year on new devices.

    Nothing new for me

I bought the iPad and heaven behold 3 months later the iPad 2 came out much cheaper than the one I bought originally.... Meh!

But otherwise regardless they do last quite a while so it can pay off in many ways.

I would, not sure I like them though. My sister bought one of them with Optus and it was rather slow, but then again it was cheap at $150.00.

Apple is good, heaps of products but too many to choose from, so confusing.

I love the fact that Android is open-source and there are plenty of modifications available for Android Smartphones.

Just don't go for any low-end androids as android needs a bit more processing power and RAM than other OS's.

BTW, SpeedySparrow forum is not opening well with Opera Mini smartphone web browser. Its coming too small and I have to zoom constantly over 10 seconds to get to the normal size everytime.

Well that is very true I suppose, but then is it wise for "Vulnerabilities", I have heard some apps have been removed for the purpose of theft of details.

The good thing about Apple is the process speeds are quite good for the device, they are improving based on the newer models (ie; 256MB to 512MB) in power which is quite good, but as I am not a person to have 50 apps open it does not bother me.

Eek, not sure why that is as it opens quite well for me

I will have a squiz, but will upgrade to the new release very soon.

It's not really designed for Opera, I did test it and it loads fine for me.

Did you try (CTRL+0) it should bring it back into size, but then if it happens again it's slightly out of my scope to as why with this browser.

Loads in normal view in FireFox and Opera for me though

The only issues I've had with Android is battery life, but that's mostly due to the huge screens and the way that apps are backgrounded I think.

I find the iPhone tends to do the same though, I find my battery life dies pretty quick as well in comparison.

My iPhone 4 is almost a year old and I still get a full day of use out of it without having to plug it in. Now I do have to plug it in every night versus once every 2 days or so due to the battery's age but I can't complain.

My i4 lasts a lot longer than my 3G S ever did... My wife's droid, on the other hand, has to be plugged in a few times per day and it's only 2 months old... She even has the "extended" battery.

Well thats Opera Mini 6 for mobiles. I took that screenshot on my Nokia 5230. It loads fine on PC.

    @ Mike
The short battery life is one of the major issues of Android phones. However, if you don't set live wallpapers always and kill useless processes with a task manager then that'll save some RAM and battery life.

I agree the 3GS battery life was not that exceptional, I used to take it back and forth to work and at the end of the day I was always hitting the 20% mark. Since getting the iPhone 4 it has improved the battery life but then again I also have to account for the applications I am running as some of them are resource pigs to the battery.

I suppose at the end of the day it comes down to what you are using the phone for and it can depict the battery duration over the days use.

There's a secure connection feature on the WHMCS app for android (SSL) It also uses an access key which adds some extra protection.

It's an must for small webhosting companies since you can work at work, free time etc.

You can see some reviews in WHT itself.
It is serving my requirements and I am happy with it.
