You did not work with us for a week. Because you've been a customer for a week doesn't mean you've been working with our tech support for a whole week. You never were upfront about what the problems you had were, and we sort of had to take a guess and look into the firewall logs to see what really was happening. It was on your side like I explained to you so many times already, for making over 10 failed IMAP/email login attempts to our server. If you contacted our support team with your IP address we would of unblocked the IP address from our CSF firewall in less than 10 minutes. If you didn't intentionally make these failed login attempts then I would need to guess that you configured an email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird and made a typo in your password, and when the email client continuously tries to log in with the failed password it caused your IP to be banned by CSF. That's no big deal, and I already explained to you in your ticket to get that checked out, and you refused to do that and continued to insist that our software was "buggy" (once again, we use cPanel/WHM)
We use CSF firewall. You can learn more about CSF and its features here: http://configserver.com/cp/csf.html
You would of experienced the same thing with any other host at the rate of how many failed login attempts your email client was making. You should of set/configured your email client properly to use the right password, so it didn't try to continue to log in with the wrong password.
Can any other WeLoveServers customer who is on the Neptune server confirm that FTP is working fine? User "med458" continues to claim that it's not and that our software is "buggy," and doesn't seem to be reasonable enough to understand, let alone cooperate with us.

Don't really care, much. You know you were unable to unblock me from your firewall and thanked me for "the heads up" when I told you your unblocking was ineffective. But you forgot that part and don't mention it here, how my old IP was blocked, then my new IP was blocked, and how I could NEVER log into FTP except the first day.
I don't care much because I will have my money back soon when paypal investigates the claim or through my credit card company or whatever it takes. Its just really too bad that your professionalism does not extend to respecting customer's reasonable requests for a refund.
You seem to have a lot of positive feedback. But you don't get 100% positive feedback. You haven't earned that, and I am sure some people here are probably wondering "why don't you just give the guy back his $25 and be done with it, instead of being stubborn". Your good feedback comes from people who have had no issues with you, but it is equally important to know how a company will treat you when you do face issues, and I am sure some people who give you good ratings would be surprised to see that there is no satisfaction guarantee and no refunds when the service is unusable. Guarantees and warranties are important to some people.0

Hey Med458,
Like you pointed out, we do have positive feedback for the most part. No one is perfect, and no one has 100% positive feedback. You must realize, we're human just like you, and we're not mind readers If you have an issue, you need to be specific about it and cooperate with us.
I'm sure we have a few customers from WHT who are on the Neptune server, can anyone on Neptune confirm that FTP has been working fine and that there aren't any problems with accessing the system?
On this note, I will personally stop responding to this thread and also request Chris to cease, as we are going in circles. You have Chris' personal email, and mine was posted above in this thread. You know how to contact us should you wish to be cooperative. We're just here to help

You can help me by refunding my $25. I have moved on, pointed my nameservers elsewhere, and will not be returning. Are you so hard up for money that you need to keep my $25? That speaks volumes about your customer service, despite all your smiley-faces and false front of being the "nice guys" you are really good at.

Re: Weloveservers.net Review
You know, I understand what you're going through.
You jumped on a fantastic deal, you did something really noobish and broke something. Not being able to figure out why it broke, you start suspecting the host and look them up.
"Hey, they're pretty new! Oh crap, I'm jumping ship!"
Looking back at their website, you find no satisfaction guarantee and panic.
----------
I really don't see what WLS did wrong. PayPal won't save you on an intangibles transaction, especially when there's no breach of contract. Why don't you just simmer down and enjoy what you signed up for? I don't see how whining about $25 is making either side look good.0

I've got a shared hosting account in neptune. Everything seems to be working for me.
But just to be fair...med458... you can go through you mail logs and the see if the settings were right and if the connection to the server was refused from the very beginning itself. if u think all the credentials and settings were right and still you got blocked by the firewall.. then u can send them the log files. That may help you to prove your point with them.
Even I was blocked once... not for mail/imap though. I was blocked from my main VPS panel due to repeated wrong attempts.
But that was due to a confusion between two different VPS usernames and passwords. I am not sure if Chris remembers or not... but he was the one to unblock me. As soon as I realized my mistake.. i sent a ticket and they unblocked me.0

LOL... !!!
You won't leave a single chance to degrade them
Just read their email notification. Ya it's sad the server went down. But their new replacement server looks promising. But not sure when it would be up and running. And it's just one server tht went down... all my other services are still up and running. But then... that doesn't justify. Am pretty sure many customers might have lost their important data. And they would be really pissed off.
And oh ya... I've got my data backed up perfectly. I had created the backup smoothly when the server was up. So I am not much worried. Just waiting for their new server to go live and then would be restoring my data.... easy peasy job0

yes my friend, i am glad that you had the good sense to not trust their backups (or lack thereof) and backed up your own data.
on their website they put "99.9% uptime or your money back", that is still a lie i had to do a credit card chargeback against them due to their bad services. even if people doubted me before about excessive downtime, there can be no doubt now, right? since they crashed the server and also lost all the data? that equals 100% downtime. but they won't be giving anyone their money back, instead they add 3 months to your service. that is like if a girl's boyfriend hits her in the face hard and says "to show how sorry i am i will be your boyfriend for even longer now".
anyone with good sense would have listened to me a month ago. anyone with half a brain will listen now that i am proven right.0

Unfortunately, I am one of those customers who had 3 sites on the Neptune server and am without service. There were times when I was unable to reach my site and now this has happened. I do have some dated backups of my sites but they are not the most recent, so I do hope I'm one of the fortunate ones that did get backed up.

well i am very sorry but i did warn you guys. on their main website they put 99.9% uptime or your money back. they will not honor that though, i had to do a chargeback with my credit card to get my money back. good luck with getting your money back if you decide to try to hold them to that guarantee on their frontpage of their website, or whatever other resolution you try to accomplish.
if you guys want free webhosting that i have found reliable, check this out: http://serverhub.com/landing/freehosting/
its limited, but free, so its impossible get ripped off like i did with these clowns. but i should not say that because serverhub is totally legit. they have real-time tech chat even for free users, its amazing. can't be happier. if they asked me to pay, i would.0

Hi med458...
Yes, I do keep my own backups. And you should never depend on your provider entirely... whether they are the no.1 in the market or just a beginner.
But one thing I differ from you is... I still trust them. As I mentioned previously, I've got other services with them. And it's working amazingly. The experiences and services what they have given me cannot be pushed back with one fall-down. But the point is...to see how long they gonna remain the same for me
Well as of this point... weloveservers.net is still the best provider for me.0

i hear what you are saying, i know many types of people who have different views on forgiveness and tolerance. i know a few guys who have girlfriends who cheat on them and sometimes other friends steal from them. they are very kind people who forgive and forget no matter what.
i am not as good a person as that, i would prefer to not have girlfriends who cheat on me or friends steal from me or hosting providers who dont honor their guarantees and are failures otherwise.
but of course all this means my standards limits my ability to have long lasting relationships because i have higher standards, but i bet you have many people in your life for long periods of time due to your greater capacity for forgiveness.
in the end neither of us are bad people in our approach, we are just different.0

Just want to say I signed up to we love servers 3-4 months ago. Was hesitant to do so because of the price, just seemed pretty low for the amount of stuff they offered.
Overall I've been incredibly pleased that I chose them. I've tried other budget hosts before but none have done so well. If you're thinking about giving them a shot you'll probably be impressed. My VPS is incredibly fast and has had 100% uptime (with one exception and that was my fault as I didn't have autobilling setup and they took down my service for lack of payment, quickly got this paid and the server was back up in minutes).

Re: Weloveservers.net Review
I ordered a VPS from them about a month ago and I have also been very satisfied with the server, support and everything else. Their prices are very affordable but I haven't experienced any performance issues due to overselling even though all their VPSs are OpenVZ.

I also have a server in neptune, always down. CPanel is useless, because you can't even access it. I can't access the site to create backup and the support has been really slow and unhelpful. I regret signing up to this hosting provider.

Unfortunately Neptune has been getting hit with a fairly large Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, more specifically a SYN flood. We are doing our best to mitigate the attack however it is of a very large scale.
Please shoot a ticket request and we'll get you migrated over to another server that isn't problematic
