    urgent vps issue

    Urgent

    I need help to stop my vps emailing me
    just downloading 30K emails from my server

    server load is pretty high as well since it started two days ago

    Need this to stop as more keeps coming

    What are the mails about?
    What is the smtp-server you are using
    Can you find a mail log in /var/log
    Can you give us some more information?

    Im using Plesk qmail
    got no access to root ssh server is too high
    Support people seem to be either very busy or not interested, sent many emails and even rang them overseas
    Its basically around 2-4 hours for tickets and then they ask a question, so been trying to have this fixed since friday

    If that's true I'd suggest everyone not to buy from vpsactive.
    They should imediately fix this kind of problems!

    I use Servint as my management and servers, the web site is mine and is irrelevent to topic
    I have moved all sites away to others I have with other company

    Didn't know that, sorry!
    It was a good idea to get all your sites away from there..
    Anyway; if you don't have root access, there is not much you can do but wait for an answer.
    I you want to fix this kind of problems yourself you should manage the servers yourself, or go for semi-managed, that way you also have ssh-access to the server.

    The other companies I use are fine, they semi managed and external managed they prove to be quick with tickets, but unfortunately when a server plays up and the company can resolve it - thats bad
    Its a good job I sync all sites to other servers for redunancy (other companies) and plenty of backups stored locally

    I think the main thing Ive learnt, Bigger the company the less support at times
