Additional IP Address Added
Hi,
My ISP tells me that they have assigned my an additional IP to one of our RAQ's and added it via the LCD panel and that everthing is live.
I can not, however, PING this new address and was wondering if there was anything else that needed to be done on the RAQ before the IP Address becomes useable?
Is a reboot required?

Did you set up a site on the server with one of the new IPs? not sure it is needed to ping but...

Yes I did - but no response. Apart from the IP stuff relating to the NIC I can't see anywhere else in the GUI where this would go.

I think (as you posted in the first post) they are added via the LCD, not through the cp, so I'd ask your provider to take a lookie and see if there's a problem (as there apparently is).

OK. I contacted the ISP and asked them to double check, they had in fact made an error and every thing is now ok.
The only interesting thing to note here is that they state that the additional IP addresses are not entered through the LCD panel.
I read the RAQ 4 manual but it does not seem to mention anything on this.
So, although no longer urgent, I am still curious how this is done.
