Allied Telesyn Rapier 24i - EXPERIENCE with this switch?
Hi,
I'm wondering if any of you has experience with the Allied Telesyn Rapier 24i switch (layer3 switch).
This switch is almost a router, because it supports BGP, etc...
Any advise on this is welcome, because I'm planning to buy one, and it's a rather expensive one...
best regards,

We have some Allied Telesyn stuff here. It works well and is reasonably priced.

The only concern I would have would be your marketability...
Obviously if they're for your own internal use then that's fine, but people assign a lot more value to seeing Cisco equipment plastered all over the place rather than someone like Allied Telesyn - even if the hardware is just as good.
That's just in my experience. YMMV.Robin Balen
