Looking for a dedicated server located in Germany / Russia
Hello Community,
I'm looking for a server located in Germany / Russia / Netherlands.
Features:
- At least quadcore(INTEL) Processor (This may change a bit)
- At least 16Gb DD3 Ram.
- 120 GB SSD HDD
- 2TB Traffic
- 100Mbit port
- Windows Server 2008 Standart Edition
Notes:
- I've tried few hosting sites, they required some documents(full address, citizenship id etc.) Wha? I'm just renting a dedicated. I don't want to provide my data with people I do not really know.
- Payment will be done via Credit Card / PayPal.
- They must accept orders from Turkey.
- Maximum Price: 300$ ~
Sincerly, Sarko

What places have you tried to buy from? I don't recall having been asked for documents etc.

How did you order from OVH? IIRC they don't support Turkey.

For DE/NL, check out LeaseWeb. We used them a couple of years ago and they were great.

@CJSS
I don't know a lot about processors.
So 16GB RAM, SSD is MUST BE. But the processor can be anything.
@OscarS

I want to say that 1paket.com provides reliable and stable dedicated servers in Germany. Prices are also affordable.
Check out their servers.

Ehm I do, been with hetzner for 13 months, why would be make a personal attack, referring to me being stupid.
What seems to be the problem with submitting ID? There are soo much fraud in the web hosting / server sector that you would be mental to not do something to prevent it.
Also, why would you have a problem submitting some personal information to a trusted company? It doesn't matter what you buy or from where, you have to give them some personal information. Say, if you went to buy a tumble dryer, you need to give them some information on where you live and what not in case it dies and they need to fix it, again to prevent getting scammed.
I trust my information more with Hetznner than I do with my municipality.
Ps. I was merely trying to help you find a good provider.Last edited by MrEliasen; 02-28-2012 at 05:32 AM.

If you don't want to send your ID you could ask if you could send them a scanned copy of the front and back of your credit card (They already have that information). Doesn't Germany have data retention laws that make operating in that company hard?

your citizen id is already printed on any random bill for your purchases from any random small business (computer parts, house appliances and many more) already. the only bills your citizen id is not written on are the small slips you take from trivial purchases like supermarket purchases. (even when you buy a household small appliance etc from a supermarket they will still print your vat no in their bill/records).
so, there is little point to withholding citizen id in turkey. granted, you should not fling it around. but it would not hurt you to give it to a respectable provider.
you may censor some parts of it, like the census registry details. (book id, page id, family id etc). tell them that that amount of information is way too much in turkey, and citizen's id is enough to identify a person. (they can get to all the other details in case there is a legal proceeding about someone - court will just request all info for that citizen id, and it will be there as soon as the clerk who is two desks away enters the id into his terminal)
