It isn't even that good of a design....

This has to be the 2nd? 3rd? 4th?? Time our BuyVM site has been ripped.

http://www.bluelighthost.com/, owned and operated by icloudhosting.

Please, if the owner is going to come in here claiming their designer ripped it, you better be providing full details of the designer to the mods because that's the same excuse the other 3 - 4 have used.

I really don't understand why the site gets ripped so much, I'm really not that skilled of a designer and made the site very simple.

Looks like we got another winner here they should be so proud of their ripping skills.

My site design has also ripped... I am searching for a method that will not allow other people to rip my design.

After designing: don't publish on the internet, but immediately burn to a disk, remove any copies from your computer, and bury the disk in your basement.

Seriously, if they can see it, they already have a copy in memory. You can obscure your code, but the graphic elements are downloaded in order to view on the visitor's computer. If it's live on the web, it's open to theft.

i want to know how much they paid for that (assuming they did hire someone as opposed to a self rip)

I find it strange that design is copied so much. Maybe its simplicity attracts noob rippers and "business" owners who would rather steal than shop for a template.

I think you are right there. Terribly frustrating for the original designer.

Everyone hates my design so know one rips it.

You should think of it this way, copying is the best form of flattery!

You're right, that's NOT that great of a design.

I don't think you can really claim that they totally ripped your design. It's a pretty standard color and white on black. They don't have some of the flourishes you did, like the beveled edges on the boxes.

If it's any consolation click on their ContactUs link and get an error. Now THAT'S quality workmanship.

    I'm amused by the errors.

Technically, if you can always have an attorney draw up a DMCA and send it to the host (if he a reseller).... That will be one of the fastest to escalate the situation.
