(free) Remote PC Access software which is best
I am wondering other then LogMeIn (free version)
what other software is free and simple to install.
Only features I really need are ability to view clients screen, open files, programs on clients PC.
I do not need to be able to move files from my pc to clients or remote access a printer. As this would be for basic tech support use.
thanks for posting all suggestions

You could use VNC, a vnc server would need starting on the clients machine before you could access it though.

Comodo has a product offering like logmein. Its not as feature rich but take a look.

Teamviewer is pretty good. No need to install to run.

but the free version is only for personal use.

Do a search on 'Bozteck One-Click' for a way to use VNC by setting up a web page with a link that allows a end user to give you access to their PC without having to have first loaded VNC at their end. Works behind firewalls.

Check out LogMeIn. I've been using them for years and they also have a "Pro" version if your looking for additional features.

I second TeamViewer.
I like it because the remote computer needs no software to install; the program is run at their end without installing anything. Simply download and run it. It is also clean; nothing do uninstall when finished. Just delete a single program and it is gone.
This makes it an easy chore for non-techie people to run it at their end so you can gain control for them. Even runs from a memory stick, so you are portable.

VNC is prob the software I most use.
TeamViewer is my second choice because I used to give Tech Support with it, really easy to use and it's fast.█ Diego Rodríguez B. - https://diegorbaquero.com

Many Microsoft products:
www.mesh.com
live sync - https://www.foldershare.com/
Windows Home Server
Many ways to remote, securely, into a Windows pc for free.
I did not enable remote access to my main computer, but I do run a server to access files or allow others to access files I need to share. Many other ways to do this as well... guess I could have setup an ftp but I used what I had available...
Teamviewer is also okay... not sure if I'd call it "slow" but I don't remote much into computers... when I do, it is normally for less than 10 to 30 minutes...Windows 10 to Linux and Mac OSX: I'm PARSECs better than you. Eat my dust!!!

I use Logmein,
free and fantastic, you can install on as many machine as you like and log in to the site and then take control of the PC, gives you last time online and other info, the pro version is expensive but the free version is all you need
I use teamviwer for one to one sharing and it works very well but when you want to add the pc to remote access permentaly logmein i beleive is the best there is.█ BoltHosting.co.uk

Other than logmein - teamviewer works quite well - but i'd suggest actually using a vnc for best performance.

I prefer TeamViewer and use it on all my families computers for remote support. I used to use LogMeIn but started using TeamViewer for the file transfer ability.
