Do You Know What it Takes to Compete & Thrive in the Hosting Industry?
HostingCon 2009 will present the strongest educational tracks ever in its history! Conference attendees will benefit from seven keynotes and 52 conference sessions divided into four tracks: (1) marketing and sales, (2) technology and operations, (3) business development, and (4) emerging trends.
While developing the program over the past five months, we concentrated on achieving three specific objectives that we believe will help guide and educate attendees to compete and thrive in a changing landscape.
First, we wanted to provide a clear vision of the new technology, market and competitive forces facing hosted services professionals today and into the foreseeable future. As such, we recruited industry visionaries ranging from the “giants” to the cunning “movers and shakers.” We asked them to lay out the future and to help define competitive positions where hosted service professionals can compete and thrive.
Second, we wanted the program to provide real-world, practical and take-home-to-implement tactics. Ideas are great but we want speakers to give up the details and expose “the insider secrets.” For certain sessions (specifically the marketing and sales track,) this meant recruiting speakers from outside the hosting industry in order to remove any barriers from exposing what really works.
Third, we listened closely to attendee feedback from HostingCon 2008. We won’t claim to have heard everything but we clearly received the signal “no sales pitches!” Thus, our Mantra with all selected speakers for HostingCon 2009 was to not make sales pitches. Now - the speakers are volunteering their expertise and time to provide attendees with great information so we have provided promotional opportunities for them within the slide template. The content though - the meat of each session - is squarely focused on YOU. And, like last year, speaker evaluation surveys will be handed out after each presentation. Your feedback will continue to shape all future HostingCon programs.
Overall, we firmly believe that HostingCon 2009 presents the strongest program ever. The ultimate proof of this belief though is from your attendance and participation. Go ahead and check out the program schedule at http://www.hostingcon.com/2009/attend/schedule.php - then register to learn, network, and grow.
So do you know what it takes to compete and thrive in the future of the hosting industry?
