what do you use?
Just a quick question, I was wondering what are everyone's programs of choice for site design and creation? I personally use mostly the usual dreamweaver/fireworks/flash, but am just curious...

I hand code in DW. I like how it highlights the code, and i just dont like the look of notepad.
I suck at image stuff, so psp is good enough for me. Sometimes i use ps though. No flash for me!

Going from fireworks to photoshop will increase your quality in design five fold. Unless you aren't that good in the first place.
Fireworks isn't a very good program, its very poor compared to photoshop.
Front page is probably worse than Fireworks in comparison to Dream Weaver.

I kicked the page editor habit about six months ago and now hand code everything in NoteTab Light which is a free text editor with lots of features. I added HTML Tidy (free download at W3C) to check my code for errors. Very easy to work with. Not much into graphics as they load slow and I want to make my site as accessible as possible. And no flash on my site or on my screen! Visual peace is a good thing.

Homesite for the HTML / XHTML / CSS (I tend to do my stylesheets by hand; but TopStyle is built in, if I ever wanted to use it.)
Photoshop, with occasional visits to Illustrator, for the graphics.☷ Lesli Schauf, TLM Network
