stuck in Vegas
Most of you know I had a real mission getting out to Vegas from Australia with lots of flight delays totally over 30 hours.
Well ive been at vegas airport twelve hours today and now my flights cancelled. Stuck in Vegas for another night!!!
UNITED AIRLINES Suck.
But at least they gave me a hotel and upgraded my flights to Business Class tomorrow!Matt Wallis

They were in Chapter 11 bankruptcy from 2002 until earlier this year... not the best airline to fly, IMHO. I fly Delta (being in Cincinnati, that's pretty much the only option) or Continental, personally.

Delta or Continental is also on the brink of bankruptcy, aren't they? The only airlines doing well in US seems to be Southwest.

I fly JetBlue, very very nice and clean planes with lots of TV Channels More than what you get in the hotel. But they don't fly to australia I dont think

But at least they gave me a hotel and upgraded my flights to Business Class tomorrow!

Matt,
I was waiting 6 hours for a 40 minute flight to LA with United. They well and truly do suck.
I feel for you.

Poor Dan, It was easy getting out of vegas but we ended up landing in Pittsburgh for 2hrs or so, I must admit jetblue did a good job overall informing us what was going on etc..and got us home safely

Delays seem to be part of the norm leaving Vegas. My flight was delayed due to metal debris on the runway.

I was delayed on thursday morning for 4.5 hours but that was due to storms in Chicago that shut down O'Hare and any flight related to O'Hare..
Once we got there it was so backed up we had to sit on the plane another hour waiting for a gate to be able to get off the plane..
hope you made it home finally Matt.. MouseFrank Spaulding COO Purity Networks

In the US, Southwest Airlines is the most profitable airline versus any other airline based in the US.
Just thought I'd throw that out regarding favorites in airlines (southwest is my favorite - I love their fleet)ColoInSeattle - From 1U to cage space colocation in Seattle

Well im still not home. Some kind of record?
United put me back in a strip hotel for the night, then gave me a business class ticket to san fran and then sydney the next day.
I just a few hours from home now and in desperate need of a shower and some sleep!!Matt Wallis

Honestly, I am very surprised at the reviews on here regarding United. When I did fly frequently, they seemed OK. I used to take United when I go to Sacramento annually, however don't anymore.
Regarding JetBlue, too bad they don't have more destinations...ColoInSeattle - From 1U to cage space colocation in Seattle
