    Question It Begs the question

Please tell me how is it possible to offer such CHEAP hosting plans, as does www.tomsyer.net?

    Basic 500mb/3000mb bw 99c pm
    Silver 1000/10000mb bw $1.99 pm
    Gold 2000/30000mb bw $2.99

    Are these guys for real?

I am not thrashing them, but simply can't believe that anyone can offer these prices and stay in business!

We have servers in NAC, HE & Rackshack, with our own port for connections, and huge disk space, but I know that if we sold at these prices, it would cause us to run at a loss!

As Matt said, they are overselling. I wonder how many they fit per server?

We do not over load our servers, we buy them in bulk and shop around and purchase what is needed to make a profit.

If you have any questions and would rather talk to us about the truth instead of bashing other hosts, as you can tell it is HOSTS bashing other hosts on theses forums, It is not any CUSTOMERS bashing other providers.

No one is bashing you tomsyer. The person asked a question thats all, and they answered. Overselling doesnt mean anything bad. Calm down and breath

Another think to notice about overselling is check in again in about 6 months time. The companies that engage in such practices probably won't be around.

Unfortunately the transient nature of some of these companies also give this business a bad name.

I get my unlimited harddrives on ebay.
    They are really great.
Really is nice to not have to worry about running out of space.
What does worry me is the fact they might out grow their case.

Funny thing is he copied and pasted the exact same sentence in another post. Anyone who reads this should be directed to http://www.unlimband.com and that's all you have to say. I really would like to know how he gets his "bulk" deals since for all appearences he is in Nocster, which even their reseller prices truly couldn't support those prices.

LOL, you can buy a whole case of hard drives direct from Western Digital for a pretty good discount.

Come on people, harddrive space is cheap as hell these days, as is memory. Its bandwidth that is expensive, and that isnt even so expensive anymore depending where you are and who you get in bed with.

Hmm. Well, it's awfully nice of him to provide a link to my site. I do appreciate it. I'll take all the traffic I can get.

    I'm hoping he'll understand if I don't reciprocate...
