1. Make sure everybody knows about it.
2. Make it hard for him to do it again

You fell directly into the hands of the scammer by not paying with paypal... Dont you know that scammers are not willing to use paypal and the only thing most use is western union because you cannot charge back or even file a bank charge back...
I think this will be a learning curve for you my friend... Only because its posted on here doesnt mean its legit...
and theirs nothing creating sites will do, why?, because their most likely using a false ID for a start and that passport is probley stolen or even fake...
a good scammer will never leave a footprint regardless!
Tomorrow the same guy/gal could be back on here selling, they move IP to IP even country to country depending on how much their earning, living a good life whiles travelling the world...
Never use western union or the likes, even paypal isnt the most safest way however their normally good when you file a claim or even file a chargeback via your bank...Last edited by Server Management; 08-26-2010 at 04:21 PM.

While I fully agree, A Name and shame would be great and yes, telling the work would be awesome.
However you can warn people till your blue in the face and all its going to do is stress you further.
I just wish people would be a little more careful, Its just not going to happen though.
At least now you know to do more checks etc before handing cash over.
I hope it wasnt much, If not then at least nothing too bad has happened other than -10 pride and -10 cashflow.
Both can be increased againLive Chat Support Software for your Business website - IMsupporting.com

yeah I know that totally BUT PP is not accepted in Palestine.. so yes it serves me right but I actually thought until the end he was legit because he never covered his tracks anywhere... his whois was open... etc etc.
But it serves me right however I am still trying to recover the money via various means...

Didnt this give you alarm bells?
Paypal doesnt deal in such countrys because their either too poor to have an paypal account or a high risk of fraud happens in that country so paypal doesnt bother putting their service their...
All the information he given you was most likely fake...
Infact i cannot call the person "he" because it could of been a "she" normally a good scammer who deals in high fraud activitys try's to become the opposite sex in order to further stop them getting caught...
In my younger day's, i was scammed for a small sum of money, nothing to worry over, However i went on to "bait" scammers, basicly string them along, tracking their movements untill handing all my information over to law enforcement agencys for a small sum of money...
It made me a nice living whiles i was in school put it that way
Do you have any emails from this person?
If you have more than one try to check the "email header" and compaire the IP address's even do a trace on the IP to see where it comes from...UK Based Proactive Server Management.

He was selling a vpn service. I got a screen shot of one of the modules I was interested in seeing the data for where it showed the IP of the vpn at the bottom.. and it matched... lots of little things like that I tried.
Also emailed the whois registry and got the same guy back. So I am guessing he was going to sell it but changed his mind when he got the cash...
now i know some people who are going to put alot of orders through his business...... but forget to pay...... blah blah.
Feel free to do it as well

I hate to say this, but you probably should not be cross-posting like this. You already posted in his thread.
