If you're already going to register, then what's the worry?
I suspect that if the voting were opened up to everyone (registered and not), we'd see massive voting fraud. And really, only the people paying to attend should have any say in the results. Someone who won't even be there shouldn't determine what presentations the rest of us get to see.The world would be a better place if people drank better coffee.

Friendly reminder: There is no parking at Hynes Convention Center. If you aren't staying at the Sheraton or one of the other nearby hotels, you will need to pay to park in one of the nearby garages. Expect to pay about $20 - $40 per day. It might be prudent to carpool. Here's a link to some nearby parking garages:

Also, for anyone not familiar with Boston traffic, it's really gotten a lot better over the years. These days you should only expect to go through no more than three tires and six body panels. Per day.Last edited by Dave Likes Coffee; 02-11-2012 at 11:41 PM. Reason: Some of the worst grammar I've ever written

Whats the evening/social line up looking like? Anything planned yet? If I go I'll skip the conference stuff and just hit the social stuff in the evenings.

Not being from Boston, and having been to several trainings and conferences in Boston, I'll give the advice. Don't get a rental car, waste of money, the transit system is great. Jump on the bus/subway/train and get wherever you need to go for a few bucks. If you want some awesome Italian, do yourself a favor and hit up Rino's in East Boston. Best Italian food ever. If you want more booze for free than the conference is providing, go on a tour of the Sam Adam's Brewery (it's actually a pretty good tour). Bring some good walking shoes, you can walk the entire downtown area pretty easily and see lots of great old architecture.
With that said, I despise Boston. Can't stand the place. Plan to have no (or very crappy) cell service, and because your phone is constantly trying to find a signal, your phone is always dead. I hate the place so much that I'm really second thinking attending this year and just waiting till next year.

I can understand giving "the cloud" emphasis a miss, but IMHO missing out on the talks on M&A's and the Sales/Marketing Track means you'll not be getting the best out of your HostingCon visit
Implement just 1 idea you get and it'll more than pay for the trip, and there are still discounts on ticketsRob Golding Astutium Ltd - UK based ICANN Accredited Domain Registrar - proud to accept BitCoins
