Any progress with this? I'm looking to move my current client to another web-host and was considering hostgator. This is a bit disconcerting to see this thread.
Could anyone recommend a similar but better host? Aravixe / Dreamhost ?

Is your site up now? I'm using Hostgator too for one of my websites but am not actively checking my site and checked it just now when I saw this post and mine is up.
