    Cloudflare - images

I know that cloudflare helps with bandwidth consumption for static files (images, css etc)
But what about images that are hotlinked/embedded on another website (e.g. forum)
It should go through CF too, right?

If the other forum is not on CloudFlare and hotlinked, it will not pass through CloudFlare's network and therefore will not be optimized in any way.

Yeah, images hot-linked on other websites are also cache by CF.

Just curious; first post in 8 years?

As long as the correct URL is used it will go through CF infrastructure, as any other request.

    Cloudflare - images

Yes, it will go though Cloudflare as you have already used them for DNS.

    For example:
You get example.com/image.png and you place this as a photo on a forum.
You visit the page > you resolve the domain from cloudflare > it checks if it cache or it gets passed on to your server

any static object like images, css or js called from your cloudflared domain will be loaded from cloudflare cache.
