cPanel DNS Cluster :: Need Help !
Hi,
I need help to set-up a system based on a dns cluster to have only ns1 & ns2 for my 3 dedicated servers.
I have 2 vps for ns1 & ns2 and need a people that can set-up the cluster for me.
I want a dns cluster because i want the possibilities to make migration of cpanel account between servers without any downtime.
Anyone can help me with this ? I have tried everything without success..
Low budget but ready to pay...
Thank You !

What issues are you having? It's pretty simple.
Setup DNSONLY on both ns1/ns2
Setup cluster on each shared server to point at ns1/ns2

Yes but i'm bored with this task.. need help to make it for me:
Configuring the cpanel dns cluster on my vps1 (primary ns) and vps2 (backup ns). I need this asap because i must make the migration from my old servers and actually the ns1 is on my old server that i have only for one week again.. so i need to make it working, update my ns1 ip and proceed to my transfer on my new infrastructure.

I`m use next configuration:
vps1: - ns1.domain.com (cPanel DNSOnly)
vps2: - ns2.domain.com (cPanel DNSOnly)
vps1 sync all data to vps2, its mean vps1 works as master vps2 as slave, then i setup any amount of cPanel servers, in general settings i was setup ns1/ns2.domain.com for my domains and then i confugure cluster:
server1 to VPS1
server2 to VPS1
server3 to VPS1
So, when customer add domain at "server1" this server sync DNS to vps1 and then vps1 sync it to vps2, on this stage you can understand you dont need DNS on hosting servers yet Customer create domain on different server, and this domain automatically added into ns1/ns2.yourdomain.com

Well for a start to have it setup wrong.
You shouldnt synchronize the DNS servers with each other as its not very good for best performance it should be direct sync...
We do not recommend setting up the nameserver to synchronize data to a web server; this will create extraneous zones on the web server. (This means that you do not need to log into WHM on the nameserver and set the web server's DNS role to Synchronize changes).
You do not need to link dedicated nameservers to each other.
A cPanel DNSONLY server should almost never be set to Synchronize changes to a web server. The web server should always be set to synchronize to the DNSONLY server(s), and the DNSONLY server(s) should always be set as Standalone.Last edited by Server Management; 02-29-2012 at 08:59 AM.

I have finally finished to configure my dns cluster properly and everything working fine now. Thank you for your comment & advise.
One last question, what about security of a dns only server ?
What do you recommand to do ? (ie: installing csf, etc..)
Thank You

Vans, cuz its server for DNS only just close all REST ports in firewall, just allow 53 port for named and ssh/cpanel ports for your restricted IPS.
