Yesterday, I received 3 payments with no problems. However, the customers did say that they repeatedly got timeouts and problems accessing it and were concerned they got charged several times.

Not in there defense, but yeh... I'm still switching

when a simple DDoS attack can make them down there is no guarantee that a 10 years old hacker can get a list of all client's credit cards!

If you do a search for paysystems they have been doing that crap for atleast a year. Very unethical and we didnt go with them for that reason. If you do go with them it just gives them the idea that spam works. Report it to spamcop and be done with it.

Since they are using WHT to send their spam report it to the mods.

As for 2Checkout, even with a second gateway this is just too much. They could have packed up their servers and deposited them in another datacenter and be fully propagated and running by now. It looks like it's time for a merchant account...

Maybe thats just it... perhaps 2co has packed up and moved away with our money?

Definitely, but what should we do until monday morning and 15 business days after that until merchant account get ready? Seems still better than that crap.

Is there some merit to this post?
There is as far as I can see.

We use a number of gateways. A regular merchant account via Authnet, and we also use 4 of the third party processors. Just today I sent a 2checkout payment link to a WHT member in Scotland and here is what he emailed me in return.

2checkout seems to be down on this side of the Pond but been like that all day, Will try again tomorrow.

Down here too - extremely frustrating.

The final hops of a traceroute indicate:
    12 chi-core-01.inet.qwest.net (205.171.20.173) 273.076 ms 275.707 ms 274.298 ms
    13 chi-edge-01.inet.qwest.net (205.171.20.34) 276.036 ms 277.575 ms 275.481 ms
    14 * 65.112.65.14 (65.112.65.14) 283.676 ms !X 284.759 ms !X

I hope it comes back up soon - otherwise it might be time to go shopping. Fortunately most of our clients pay by cheque/direct debit so it's not a big disaster for us.

    Still out for me.

However - the support forums are up. There is a thread (http://support.2checkout.com/forums/...d=18&styleid=1) - but nothing recent from their staff.

some sort of announcement from 2co would be nice.
Patron: I'd like my free lunch please.
Cafe Manager: Free lunch? Did you read the fine print stating it was an April Fool's joke.
Patron: I read the same way I listen, I ignore the parts I don't agree with. I'm suing you for false advertising.
Cafe Owner: Is our lawyer still working pro bono?
