International orders are given a very strong look over and require extra processing time just because of fraud orders. Not all countries are frauds, however Asia and most of Europe are on our list of orders to thoroughly check, many times over.

Thankfully after the stern lecture this guy got from us the last time, he hasn't bothered us since. It seems he just doesn't get it that web hosts talk to each other and share this kind of information.

Australia's fraud orders may not all be fraud but the stupid way some ISPs are setup. Last time I renewed my hosting, my credit card was rejected because "I was too far away from the card". My IP has me at 3,000ish kilometres away from where I live.

I mean where VPS/Dedicated servers have been ordered and then they did a chargeback (stolen card must have been used).

We also get a lot of fake PayPal emails trying to get access to our PayPal account. I bet the PayPal ones catch a lot of inexperienced users out as the sites look really good. Not many hover their mouse over links and check the link in browser.

This mostly happens with Australia and Florida.

We also get a lot of port scanning from China and Korea.

^^ They must love you, sadly I have had zero fraud orders from Australia but most of the fraudulent orders we get are from the US as well as the UK and nine times out of ten the user is using an open-proxy.

So even though you may see them come from Australia, it may just be a user using an open-proxy that sees them that way using a Australian web-server. But even without open proxies on our end a lot of them are generally based in the US and the UK.

I mean where VPS/Dedicated servers have been ordered and then they did a chargeback (stolen card must have been used).
Have you got any anti-fraud measures in place, I am starting to see MaxMind suck to be honest with you, but we have managed to eliminate many fraudulent orders over the recent months especially on shared and reseller services and the odd for VPS services.

On that note, I also prefer 2Checkout to also go through a secondary anti-fraud screening to ensure they are legitimate as MaxMind to late seems to be allowing a lot of them pass through.

    Nice try, Huon.
If you have to operate your company behind the scenes or under a fake name, maybe it's time to leave the industry and start something fresh.

Perhaps Hughy should come here and tell his story. He is only 18 but tries to maintain innocence, "Hughy" I don't believe you for one moment, you try and state that I don't give a "F" about you but reality is you deceive people as well as request people to hack for you - I am sure a lot of people on this forum would not approve of this and it is not something I approve of either.

Me posting this on this forum is not a violation of your rights, if you are going to CON people and get people to hack sites for you then people should know about it.

Very true, I mean he said he wanted to make things right with people but I was pretty blunt and noted that is going to be a tough thing to do - he commits that he has changed (a person changing in 3-5 months) I do not think so, people don't just randomly change like that.

We will see if he ever responds, probably not.

I mean he wants me to believe him, but when he comes to Live Chat and names himself "Rick" then how do you do that?
