I am considering hosting with a reseller. Is there anyway to identify through which company the reseller is selling accounts?

Try asking
Try simply asking the company, chances are they would be more than happy to answer your question, and reveal the company they resell for.

Agree with Yad. Just ask. If they won't tell you walk away.

Actually doing the Ip look up might not help.
If you looked ours up it would show Alabanza butwe now only sell plans on servers at VDI.

Yeah Gordon, but you are not a reseller. If you put a reseller on your VDI server, say it's joeblowhosting.com.
If I lookup the IP assigned to joeblowhosting.com it would
show your company's name on it. Right?
