    rate limit by ip ?

    Hi.

    on centos/cpanel,

    is any way to do rate limit by ip ?

    it means,no matter login user(mail or ftp or cpanel...etc) or normally via http,

    i want to limit each client ip can only use 10M/s,

    is it possible ?

    If you are talking about limiting a network traffic per IP and I presume you are not using CloudLinux, Wondershaper script should accomplish that (didn't try myself tough).

    You could try some scripts for this however if you are not as skilled then might want to look at Cloud Linux to set limits.

    tc (traffic control) will do this. It is tricky to set up.

    can cloudlinux make network rate limt for remote client ip ?

    easiest way of rate limiting is to use cloudflare. the traffic still has to be mitigated somehow and rate limiting on the server side will just put load on your server.

    Cloudlinux only limits file IO and not network IO .

    tc appears to be available within the iproute packages on most linux systems and is likely already installed on your server.
