Unix : What does ommitting directory mean?
im trying to copy a directory and all of its files and folders under it from one place to another (one site to another)
when i try it gives me the response
ommitting directory

Basically that the directory is not being moved as either it cannot be moved or you do not have permission to move it.
Doublecheck the permissions on the directory as well as ownership (root, user)Glen Millar

i chmodded the directory to 777 and it still didnt work

no - it is a new account for a website so its just the cgi bin

try using the -R switch (recursive) this normally forces it to work.
co -R folder/ newfolder/

its in the pause state now so i think its working
theres like a gig of files so it may be a while
