    Xsserver.eu and abuse

    Hi,
we are looking that quite often from ip's of xsserver.eu customers comes scanning probes and spam activity. At this time approximately 10 ip's are involved in suspicious activity .
Xsserver.eu staff did not respond to reports send to abuse@xsserver.eu
It's a bogus mailbox or what?
We need to send reports to a valid mailbox.
Also it would be nice to receive an acknowledgment about abuse report.
    Cheers.

    Angry

I am facing issues, over the past month I have sent countless emails to abuse@xsserver.eu reporting spambots trying to post to my forums. Never any response, never any action.

I have reported the following IPs:
    109.230.251.74
    109.230.213.16
    109.230.246.65
    109.230.222.53
    109.230.220.77
    109.230.220.62
    109.230.216.242
    109.230.217.97

    Disappointing really.

I have systems in place to stop them from posting, but they are still trying. I like to report such activity to prevent others from suffering at the hands of spammers. It seems this company does not care about abuse issues though.

It seems that the IPs are from a server in Germany, so you could file a complaint with the German Internet Complaint Office. Maybe they can help to stop the reported activity from these IPs.

    hi,

This is a known hostile "spam friendly" hosting firm http://www.freepchelpdesk.com/showthread.php?t=1566

I must send dozens of abuse emails to their abuse@ mailbox every day and to date, Ive had nothing in reply.

xsserver seem to host more spambots than any other provider.

You should contact them again IMO.
Maybe they haven't seen your ticket.

or they are to busy hosting spambots after all money is money the fact that it causes damage to so many forum/blog/guestbooks owners i don't think they care about that as long as the money keeps rolling in.This host should be

    1) shutdown
    2) the people behind this host (and all there spamming customers) should be prosecuted and convicted

Spamming is illegal and against the law

the only reason there is a abuse@ mailbox listed in there whois record is

    1) it's requierd by law
    2)to respect the involved RFC

This host WILL be shutdown once we send proves and complaints to their ISP.

As it seems to be a server in Germany, you could file a complaint with the German Internet Complaint Office. Maybe they can help to stop the reported activity from these IPs.

Maybe contacting EURid http://www.eurid.eu/en/contact-us about such activity by an .eu domain can also help to resolve the problem.

xsserver.eu refuse to action abuse emails, why? because they just dont care... maybe they sponsor fraud from their networks. I believe they do.

ive put all their subnets in my firewall and I seriously suggest that everyone does the same.

Useless, this is not xsserver, but their Upstream Optimate-Server - XSServer has no own AS Number.

Your list is useless too, this are the Optimate Server Networks, only 1 of them belongs to XSServer.
So XSServer is not the biggest problem here, its their upstream.

Contact them, and if they dont react contact their carriers - all listed in the AS Info.

You should look better - webtraffic == Optimate-Server.
HE = one of Optimate-Server's Upstreams
    XSServer = Customer of Optimate-Server
    Did you get it now?

Learn to use the HE looking glass and the RIPE Database, your traceroute is worthless against them.

    What you can do is:

    A) Block the IPs/range

    B) Send an signed letter
If not working > Start a court case
