SSL & Changing your IP
I'm not sure if this has been answered before (i've done a search with no luck)
I'm looking at getting an SSL certificated for my site, I know that i need to get a static Ip. however i'm wondering what would happen if i moved hosts, and had to change IP's would my certificate be useless or could it follow me?
Thanks for your help!

You can change IP's just fine.
SSL works on domainname.. ie
secure.yourdomain.com
the reason you need a dedicated IP is because you can't do host headers with ssl, therefore it requires a dedicated.. but you never submit that ip address to your ssl provider... so if you move, just update dns and everything will work as perfect as ever.Joseph Marcelletti

Thanks for your reply
I don't believe my first reply was a straightforward one.
