Nagios API
Hi,
Does Nagios have an API interface to get server status?
For example, say I was developing a control panel that integrates Cacti, Nagios, MongoDB MMS into one place.
Could I say call something like:
https://nagios/api/get-status?key=123456&host=web01
Which would return, in any format (XML/JSON) something like:
Code:{'host':'web01' {'Disk1':'OK - 50%', 'CPU':"OK - 0.02'} }
Many thanksStuart Munro

Try to search on Github. There were some addons.

I don't know if it's possible from plain nagios.
If you add livestatus + multisite gui to the mix then i know that it's possible.
http://demo.mathias-kettner.de/demo/...ut_format=json
[ ['host', 'service_state', 'service_description', 'svc_plugin_output', 'service_icons', 'svc_state_age', 'svc_check_age'], ["nagios","OK","Postfix Queue","OK - Mailqueue length is 4","","32 min","19 sec"] ]
Oh, and of course if you don't need http access to that, then livestatus alone is already all you need.
Docs are here: http://mathias-kettner.de/checkmk_livestatus.htmlCheck out my SSD guides for Samsung, HGST (Hitachi Global Storage) and Intel!
