    Baseball anyone?

For those who aren't from the Chicago area, taking in a baseball game might be a fun thing to do. Chicago has two teams, the White Sox and the Cubs. I see the Cubs are playing home games on Saturday and Sunday before HostingCon, while the White Sox play home games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings during the conference, and also Thursday and Friday.

    Anyone interested?

P.S. Too bad it's not football or hockey season.... I'm not a die-hard baseball fan, but any sport (within reason) is better than nothing

Could be fun watching Americans attempt to play football (soccer).

Hey now! Don't open that door unless you can say Graeme Lloyd ten times fast! Besides we have David Beckham now remember? *cough*

    David who?

Without getting in to a football argument... Beckham is an over-rated ladies boy who has never had a hair on his chest. He may be able to play with his own balls, but he can't play with anybody elses.

He's actually the Joe Thornton of soccer really (for those that follow hockey.) Will be interesting to see if Chelsea treats it as a "friendly" or not.

As for baseball, as awesome as it would be to get to a game, not in the cards for this trip. I do need to make a pilgrimage to Wrigley Field sooner rather than later. Of course that usually involves waiting outside the stadium for seats or scalping.

The chicago whitesox stadium is like 3 blocks from my apartment, and I've gone to one game. The games are much more entertaining in real life as opposed to watching them on tv, and I would encourage any non-baseball fans take in a game. I didn't care for baseball at all prior to going to a game, but going to a game changed my opinion of it.

Don't worry, Mike. As long as your balls are not gold and you're not an over-rated soccer player, we don't care.

Anyway, that's enough of balls and Beckham. Back to baseball...

The Cubs are playing on Saturday and Sunday.... both days against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The White Sox play home games on Monday through Thursday against the Detroit Tigers.

They appear to play at Toyota Park, and it appears that it's public transportation accessible. They also are debuting a new player who is apparently a big time Mexican star.
