    Just a question.

I have been reading that flash banners are on the increase, atleast from a debate point of view. Anyways I do not know anything about flash so I am looking for information only, not intending to produce anything at this point, just want the info and examples of work.

    (a) Typical size of a 230 X 33 (yahoo banner size). Do not like the normal sized banners to big to incorp nicely into site.

    (b) Is the use of bandwidth the same as any other banner sizes or does the use of flash increase bandwidth usuage <- total newbie question here

    (b) What would be the cost to do a banner in the size that I mention in (a)

    Banner.

One of the main advantages of flash is that you "incorporate" graphics in your swf file and even if you have 5 pages of information the file is loading only one time.

Take a look for example at
    http://www.edr.ro/swf/depresia.swf

You have here 5 pages of information for a total of 45 k (this is including buttons, graphics, preloader and text).

My opinion is that flash is offering more possibilities than html or classic image editors.

The size of the banner depends on how much animation do you want (i.e. how many frames and effects). A simple one, with some animation however, is below 10k and you have a rather good quality.

    Best regards.
