Weird activity
I have a server from FDCServers with 2 NICs installed.
When the IP address from the first NIC is not responding, I can connect to the same server via the 2nd NIC.
I requested a server reboot from FDCServers support and yet I can still remain connected throughout the entire "reboot"
So what gives?
Not a real dedicated server? VM?

Do you get to see the BIOS etc? As that sounds more like a KVM/IPMI device.

Sigh.
Why can't server providers be honest at all??
How can I NOT lose connection via SSH if the server is rebooted?
Are they using magic?

Do you have the root SSH account? Can you send the reboot command through SSH?

Let me explain.
I usually connect to the SSH via the main NIC.
I tried it, it was ping timed out. So I attempted to connect via the secondary NIC, and it works.
So I opened a ticket and asked for a reboot. Support replied saying it was rebooted.
But throughout the "reboot" done by the support, why is it that I can remain connected to the server if its rebooted?

Have you ever connected to your server with the first NIC and have you asked your provider about this?
