    2nd VPS for clients?

    I have a VPS with WHM/cPanel.

A client was permanently blocked by the firewall the other day and couldn't contact me through my website because my site is in the same server. He did email and it was resolved.

I'm thinking I should purchase a small VPS just for my site and use the current one for clients only. If a second VPS is a practical/viable solution, I would appreciate some advice on how to do it, or a link to a tutorial please?

I think I've figured it out, I can use WHMCS to allocate server(s).

Indeed, and possibly have your corporate site hosted in another data center so that if your services in your production data center fail, your clients have a way to reach you.

Read my mind. You can also do a round robin. Host support portal and corporate site on multiple location.

    Thanks for the advice.

If I migrated my host site to another VPS that includes WHM, RVSiteBuilder and Softaculous as paid monthly extras, should I expect to pay for those "extras" on both servers?

Yes those licenses are per server. However if you get a VPS just to run your main website and WHMCS you don't need anything other than WHM/cPanel.
