I have a trip to Malaysia this week and due to bad timing it doesnt coincide with any Hash House Harriers runs or linux/dev meetups that I could find, Im interested in what groups/memberships/affiliations other techies have?
I see a business networking event, but i found them in the past to be full of tripe - MLM style schemes and other silly stuff like barter card.
Worse case scenario I'm sure I'll find a bar that doesnt have any annoying new-age backpackers wearing yoga clothes, drinking green tea, and talking about the meaning of life.
