Thumbs up Anyone here speak French and can help with translation?

    Hello,

I am trying to rent out our house for the summer in France, and I need to have a bit of translation done. My speaking French is getting better, but unfortunately I can't write French at all. (I live in a somewhat remote village of Corsica and there is nobody here who speaks or writes English...)

I tried to use Google Translate, but even my limited French reading is good enough to know that the translation is not very good. I don't want to have any miscommunication with our renters, so I need something better then Google or my Franglais.

Hopefully there is someone out there who is willing to help?

    Thanks in advance!

Here is what I need translated into French:

    Hello,

Thank you very much. Your deposit was received and I confirm that your week is now reserved. Here are the next steps to do:

    1. Read the enclosed Contract De Location.
    2. Sign one copy on the last page. (The other copy is for you to keep.)
    3. At least 6 weeks before the start date of the rental, you must send the signed contract and the full balance owing for the rental amount to me:

    [my address]

    4. Upon receipt of the signed contract and full payment of the balance owing, I will send you the detailed driving instructions and how to get the keys to enter the house.

Thank you again. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Sincerely,

    [me]

I would offer to help if I had the time. But, unfortunately, I'm tied up with work.

I do recommend you get a local translator though. This way you can get faster responses and learn more of the language in the process.

    Hello,

If there was a local translator, I would already have asked. As I mentioned in my post, I live in a small "rural" area of Corsica, and there is nobody here who speaks or writes English. So finding a local translator is not possible.

unservers, I am looking to translate from English to French. (See the quoted part in my original post -- that is what I need translated into French.)

    Thanks!

    Small typo here: *ub*servers
As for the translation, do you have any IM (AIM, GT or even MSN)?

Correct me, but the OP is probably looking for some *free* help.

Good to know that. It would be nice if the translation could be posted here so others who are interested in improving their French (like myself) would benefit as well. This is a forum after all, right?

Again, glad to know that. And it's NOT greedy to charge for translation, esp. for something that involves a business transaction. But being a professional translator myself (MIL, not for French though), I could be biased.
