Domain similar to existing hosting provider?
So, I have a domain I registered that's really similar to godaddy.com.
I'm considering buying their api storefront reseller, and simply making a reseller of them that uses this domain i have that's fairly close to godaddy. would that be illegal? or could I do that?
I don't like GoDaddy but I think it would be pretty funny to see if I actually got any orders through it

Probably not a good idea. Godaddy lawyers will be after you in no time.

There's no way. Your best bet is to setup some landing pages with ads, or possibly affiliate with a different hosting company - either way, GoDaddy will C&D you most likely eventually, especially if using the site to promote a competitor.

That takes you back to godaddy unless I'm missing something...which is entirely possible!

IMO you will win in court using a domain like you have chosen. The issue is, GoDaddy can easily afford to go to court if they want and drag you along until you give up. The question to ask now, is it worth it?
