    Stripe now supports Bitcoin

I noticed in the Stripe website today, they now offer a new API and Option for Stripe Checkout to support Bitcoin.

    Check it out: https://stripe.com/bitcoin

This is interesting--I guess we won't need a separate processor for Bitcoin payments. Are you seeing an uptick in the number of people wishing to pay with Bitcoin? I'm sure the percentage is quite small.

We were looking into Bitpay and Gocoin... but this looks better, simply because we already deal with them.

Planning to implement it in the near future.

Thanks for the heads up. This will make it easier to process ButCoin as we currently use them for CC processing. Will have to check the rates and compare to BitPay as we use them as well.

It's bitcoin! They are cheaper than bitpay - 0.5% vs. 1%.

Is there an updated WHMCS Stripe module that has CC processing + Bitcoin available anywhere?

Thanks for the heads up. Need to modify the clientexec module to enable the Bitcoin payment.

Bitcoin is not available in UK, as the following message coming up:
Bitcoin acceptance is available to British Stripe accounts, but you need to attach a United States bank account to your Stripe account. We know this is not ideal, and we'd love to extend our support further. Please email support@stripe.com with any questions on this.
    https://stripe.com/docs/guides/bitcoin
You currently need a United States bank account to accept Bitcoin payments. Stripe users in more than twenty countries can attach a US bank account to their Stripe account, but we know it’s not ideal for non-US users, so we’re working to expand Bitcoin acceptance more broadly.

Wow, this is great news! My bet is they keep adding to this to avoid losing any business to Bitpay in the future. More countries, less restrictions, etc..

To be able to accept Bitcoins, you need to activate this feature on your account, see link to docs above and you will get the message.

I just activated the BitCoin (no iPhone Auto correct this time changing my words ) with Stripe.
Hopefully a WHMCS Module will be out soon, as it is always nice to have 1 less Gateway to worry about that has you and your Clients info out there. Gonna keep my eyes peeled for a WHMCS Module for this.
