I think xml sitemap which gain more favory by google.coz google always generate the xml format sitemap for all the sites. google will crawl and index the xml sitemap more effectively than html.

What? I haven't heard of someone using html for sitemap. Google and other search engines follow standard structure in sitemaps and it's always written in xml.

It is not like that. Both have different objective in your website. I have seen many websites with both the features. HTML site map shows your site navigation structure (Page Path)- Generally for visitors, where as, XML is useful for search engine to track your website's linking.

Agree with Oliver Williams, some big websites uses both formats with different objectives in mind, HTML if you need it to be accessible by human and XML for search engine.

For us, XML is better because our website does not have that many pages, therefore our current navigation menu is more than enough for our visitors.

If you have hundreds or thousands of pages, you might want to consider using HTML (or even better, XHTML) sitemap, therefore your visitors can easily find the page they are looking for.

As soon as our websites have more pages that cannot be listed on our navigation menu, we will consider build another sitemap in XHTML format.
