    Mounting hdisk

    this is what my system is currently reading. what happen was my datacenter moved should of moved the old primary hard to the secondary slot and then take the secondary drive reinstall OS and make primary. this is what i'm seeing when i do a df and sfdisk. where's my old primary (now secondary) drive?

    I cant see it either. Ask your DC for the issue. Only they can help you.

    when i load up cpanel and select drives it's say hdb and hdc drives were found and is asking if i want to mount and format. I don't want to do any formating on my system cause the secondary drive holds my only backup copy of sites and user data. i'm waiting for the DC to respond to my ticket

    try:

    Well, first you have to determine if hdb or hdc is the second harddrive. Then, use FDISK to get a list of partitions, and then create folders such as /olddrive/1 olddrive/2 olddrive/3 etc and mount /dev/hd(b/c)(1-X) to mount the individual partitions to folders

    its hard to give the specific commands without knowing the partition setup

    they just got back to me, they mounted the old drive as /oldusr /oldhome and /oldslash my server has been down for almost 48hrs and i kind of want it back up. time to start moving data
