Hi all,

I have a client that is getting a 550 error when sending email to some addresses. This looks like:

 recipient@company.com
   SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<recipient@company.com>:
   host mx3.netregistry.net [202.124.241.198]: 550-Verification failed for <myemail@mydomain.com>
   550-Unrouteable address
   550 Sender verify failed

I've been through his email client and it is set up correctly with the out going SMTP mail correct.

I've also checked that the addresses he's sending to are correct.

Would anyone have any advice on how to correct this?

You need to check the MX record for the domain from where you are sending the mail, also verify is the domain is there at /etc/localdomain.

As above, also you might not have permission to send through the server with that email address.

Maybe check your control panel for permissions. Have you tried looking at this ? Keep in mind if that does not help it could be the DNS Zone Settings for your client.

It's usually the MX records being incorrect which causes this problem. Have you checked to make sure they are correct?
